Description

First time getting the telescope out in a while! Summer started with poor skies due to Canadian wildfires. That persisted for quite some time, then the skies were just plain poor and not to mention hot and muggy. I just decided to take the summer off. Setup the rig on September 4th, Meteoblue showed excellent skies for a change. Wish I'd got up sooner but slept in since I would be starting nightshift later that day. Stills were around 11am and time lapse was taken from 11:22 to 1:15pm (EDT).

Stills were best 300 of 5400 frames from 45" capture
Time lapse best 300 of 3600 frames from 30" captures with 30" delay between.

I don't use guiding, so the image border jumps around a bit (had to recenter a few times). I already cropped it quite a bit but wanted to preserve the proms and jets as much as I could so didn't fully crop it to common area.

I didn't have the camera properly aligned to solar north, so its a bit off axis. The animation was of the eastern limb, the stills are noted in their descriptions.

Thanks for looking!
